Join us for another Richard Photo Lab webinar! Update: New time

October 7th, 2011

Join us for another webinar on Friday, October 14 on why 95% of wedding photographers will not make $100,000 this year plus much more!

We’ve been around for 20+ years and in that time we’ve seen some pretty amazing photographers go out of business. We’ve also worked first hand with photographers who run unbelievably successful businesses. We here at RPL want you to succeed, so we’ve done some extensive research. We’ve uncovered why some photographers fail, why others do well and we want to share the results with you! We believe we’re in this business together, so let us show you how to succeed.

On this Webinar we’re going to go over:

  • How photographers can find the right allies
  • Creating the right perception
  • Building the referral business
  • Branding
  • Time management
  • Q&A
  • and much more!

We’re so happy to announce albums are the newest addition to our ROES ordering software! So what’s this album like, you ask? It’s a sophisticated flush-mounted album, printed in house and handcrafted by Cypress. The covers of the album are meticulously created with a smooth, sleek bookbinding fabric. The heavyweight pages are created to highlight your images. Find the new catalog of albums in “product type” on the bottom left hand corner of the application. Download the ROES application at RPLprints.com (if you haven’t already) and you’ll be uploading, designing and ordering in no time!

Welcome to the new Richard Photo Lab website!

September 2nd, 2011

We’re so excited to show you all the new richardphotolab.com. We’ve been working on this change for a while now with the help of some very talented people both in the lab and out. It’s finally a reality we can show off to you all.

There are some big changes with the website, and not just to the overall theme. We wanted a place where we can showcase all the cool stuff we do here, along with all the great photographers we work with. After all, not many people know that we work closely day to day with all kinds of photographers, record companies and movie studies across the globe.

We wanted our personality to shine through the pages too, and emphasize what we think are keys to our success: our attention to detail, reliability, the high quality we produce and our personable approach with our photographers. Most important though, we wanted the website to make it as easy as possible for you guys to access important information with easy navigation. Our goal is to make this as much as a reference page for you as possible.

You may see some new services on here too, which were not on the last website. For example, the RPL Color PAC. Some of you may have heard by word-of-mouth this new service we offer. Now, we have a full description with details and additional information on what the whole process is all about. Also our digital post production section has expanded, further detailing all we do for our digital photographers.

Look out for updates and photo changes over the next couple months on the site, as we we’ll constantly be updating and adding information. We hope you like what’s new!

Don’t miss American Landscapes at the Craig Krull Gallery

July 19th, 2011

Image: John Huggins, Malibu #7, 2007, archival pigment print, 30 x 40", edition of 17

In the LA neighborhood? Be sure to check out John Huggins’ new exhibit American Landscapes at the Craig Krull Gallery in Santa Monica opening on Saturday, July 30th.

Huggins is not only known for his spectacular photography but also for the ways in which he manipulates film in the Polaroid transfer process. This process is the technique of transferring the emulsion from a Polaroid to another piece of paper. In this new exhibit, John enlarged the original 4”x5″ transfers into 30”x40″ archival pigment prints to enhance the texture, quality, and dimension of his work. American Landscapes pays tribute to famous landmarks and iconic themes in American life, such as Niagara Falls, Malibu surfers and much more.

We here at Richard Photo Lab were honored to print all of the 30”x40” Gallery Exhibits for the show on our Epson 60″ printer!

Reception for American Landscapes is July 30th from 4-6pm at the Craig Krull Gallery in the Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave, Building B-3, Santa Monica, CA 90404. The exhibit will run there from July 30th -Sept 3rd from 10am – 5:30pm Tuesday – Friday and 11am – 5:30pm on Saturdays. Check out the website for more info!

Give us a call if you’re interested in having us print for an upcoming show of your own!
